I love the Lord for He hears my voice
So kind and good He is, I will rejoice.
He bends down to listen and so I will pray
I will call on His name for all of my days.

Death wrapped around me and terror overtook me
Only trouble and sorrow could I see
Then I called on the name of the Lord,
"Oh, please save me!" Our God is so full of mercy!
Verse 3
Let my soul be at rest for the Lord has been good to me
From certain death He has set me free.
I walk in His presence down here on this earth
For He steadies my feet and gives joy and worth.
Verse 4
I believed in You, Lord, and so I said,
"I am struggling and soon I may be dead."
For all He has given me, what can I bring?
I will praise Him and thank Him and gratefully sing.
