Lyrics

Refrain
Stay close to me, just stay close to me
I will protect you, stay close to me
Lean on my breast, rest in my arms
Know you are safe with Me; safe from all harm.

Verse 1
I am your Father
For sure you can know
I am telling you now,
I will not let you go
I care for you deeply
I love you, My child
When it comes to protecting you,
I’m not meek or mild

Verse 2
I know you are hurting
I understand why
Let your Father comfort
And hold you while you cry
Be honest with me
I want to hear what you say
Whatever you’re feeling
I’ll not turn you away

Verse 3
I know you are wounded
Do you know I can heal?
Will you let me touch
Where you are scared to feel?
I know you’re afraid
For your pain is great
I am gentle and patient
For you I will wait

Ending
Stay close to Me,
Just stay close to Me.
