Lyrics

Chorus 1
I want to grow up, not just grow old;
Jesus, my helper be.
Cause me to live, not just exist;
You bring life to me.
I want to be wise, Lord, in Your eyes.
Teach me to fear Your name.
Then I will live for many good days
As I follow in Your ways.
Chorus 2
I want to grow up, not just grow old;
Lord, make me more like You.
Cause me to think of others first
As you said that I should do.
I will speak well, and no lies tell,
Seeking peace and unity.
Blessing others all throughout my day
By what I do and what I say.
Chorus 3
I want to grow up, not just grow old;
Keep me walking close to You.
You are my Lord; sovereign in all,
In everything I do.
Your way is best; I am so blessed
Far more than I deserve.
I will honour You through all my days;
I will sing and give You praise.
Ending: I want to grow up!
