My Rescuer
Have I not seen You rescue me,
ADONAI?
I remember:
Many times the wicked made sport of me
and I lost strength.
They tried to kill me
but You kept me alive.
When I am weak, the enemy
takes advantage of me,
but when I cry to the Lord,
He hears and answers.
He rebukes the enemy
and sets me on the everlasting way,
making my feet and ankles strong,
directing my steps so that,
should I stumble
I won’t fall headlong
for ADONAI holds me by the hand.
Put your hope in the Lord ADONAI
all you peoples.
Pour out your heart to Him,
let Him know all your troubles.
Then your heart will delight
when He answers and delivers you,
for ADONAI saves and rescues His own.
