I Heard My Cat Crying

I heard my cat crying
“Oh, where have you gone?”
I answered, “I am right here”
But my cat could not see
that behind the closet door
I was very near.

Sometimes I think
that I’m like my cat.
I cry to God, “Oh, where have You gone?”
But I cannot see
that behind my dark troubles
He is very near.

So do not be dismayed
Do not be afraid.
No need for worry or care
Jesus lives in our hearts
He’ll never leave
Jesus is always right there.
